Dareyes de la Sierra is a celebrated Mexican Regional Mexican and Norteño singer-songwriter and leader of the group Los Dareyes de la Sierra. Originally from Sonora (some sources say Navojoa; others indicate Sinaloa), the band formed in the late 1990s and quickly built a reputation for blending traditional folk, banda, and norteño music with modern production and electronic elements.
With hits across the 2000s and 2010s, Dareyes earned a Latin Grammy nomination in 2009 for Best Banda Album, following the success of “Con Banda” at Premio Lo Nuestro . Known for heartfelt storytelling, rich instrumentation, and a charismatic stage presence, he’s become a mainstay of the regional Mexican music scene, touring internationally and maintaining over 3 million followers on Instagram .
